Aunessilta swim Aunessilta is a classic rock arch bridge in Kämmenniemi, Teisko. It is perhaps the most beautiful bridge in Finland. At least in my opinion! So why not swim under it, on a hot summer day? Full story July 2020, Aunessilta, Kämmenniemi, Teisko, Finland Swimming (Outdoor, Waterbody-River, Water, Nature)
Grani swim It is cold today and raining heavily. But I made a plan to go out for a swim every day. Full story July 2020, Gallträsk, Kauniainen, Finland Swimming (Outdoor, Water, Waterbody-Lake, Beach)
Tuohilampi swim After-caving swim is very useful, to get rid of that mud and moldy basement smell. And replace it with the scent of freshly sprayed muddy forest pond. Nice! Full story July 2020, Tuohilampi, Vihti, Finland Swimming (Outdoor, Water, Waterbody-Lake, Nature)
Kesämökki swim Swimming on your own beach... on a hot summer day, having taken a couple of days off... with your youngest with you... bliss! Full story July 2020, Arkko summer cottage, Teisko, Finland Swimming (Outdoor, Water, Waterbody-Lake, Beach)
Häkläjärvi swim deep layer of mud covered by a thin layer of water It looks pretty. But on my side of the lake, there's maybe half a meter of water, and ... at least a meter, maybe more of organic mush, mud, soft icky stuff. I'm afraid I'll sink in. Sundet beach and Sundsberg harbour I was looking for a place to swim in Sundberg, Kirkkonummi. My first attempt was to get to the apparent harbour on the west side, near Morbacka. Could it be a Soviet-occupation era harbour? And maybe a swimming would also be possible? This needed investigation. Midsummer swim I was a bit busy among picking up groceries, work in the yard, and fetching some medicines for the kids that I almost had no time to celebrate midsummer on the eve. But, I did get a chance to put in a very nice swim! Full story June 2020, Jupperinranta, Kuninkainen, Espoo, Finland; House Arkko, Kauniainen, Finland Swimming (Outdoor); Sauna (Normal)
Skiing Tahko on May 30th What a wonderful experience, hiking up the 200 meters high ski hill in deserted Tahko, in sunshine. And taking a sunset ski run back to the lake, almost all of it on still preserved snow. Kopaonik Spa Experience While in Serbia I stayed at the Dvori apartments, about 10 kilometres from the ski slopes. They had a quite nice spa area, with a jacuzzi and four saunas. Very relaxing! Caving in Tampere. In a shopping mall. I don't go caving often, but when I do, I want to do it indoors in a dry, clean environment that is safe for everyone. I have to say that I did not expect much from the caving adventure park at the Tampere shopping mall, but I was blown away by how good this place was. Much recommended! Refreshing sea dip at Sentosa Because the bunker was close to the Sentosa island, we decided to stop in Sentosa for a quick dip into the sea. By now I was running out of time to get to the airport for my flights home, so I just stood in the sea for a bit, rather than change clothes and actually swim. The Blue Pool in Singapore I was on a business trip in Singapore, and stayed a few days at the Conrad Centennial hotel, before the prices got higher than in the conference hotel. And first things first, even if I was tired from the trip, I went straight to the pool on the first night.
